Home Base Housing is a low income housing provider. They were looking for green technologies that could be added to their housing stock while also providing a reasonable investment. They were able to take advantage of the MicroFIT solar program.
What was installed
Two 10 kW microfit systems were installed as well as two 4 panel solar hot water systems. The microfits each consisted of 40 Canadian solar 250 watt modules connected to Fronius IGplus 10 kW inverters. The SDHW systems were Viessman Vitodens 300
The systems were installed in 2013 and have been delivering roughly 12250 kWh per year. This project will pay for itself in roughly 6.7 years.
